Angus Kennedy, one of the UK’s most influential regeneration professionals, has been elected as the new chair of World Habitat following an open recruitment process.

Angus Kennedy said: “World Habitat is a truly unique organisation with an important mission and an exciting future. I look forward helping it develop its strategy and fulfil its potential.”

David Ireland, Director of World Habitat, said: “Angus was the stand out candidate and is a fantastic appointment for World Habitat. I am delighted that he has volunteered for this role and am looking forward to working with him. His skills in chairing boards, combined with vast experience and expertise in housing and regeneration make him ideally positioned to lead World Habitat’s board to an exciting future. I would also like to thank our outgoing chair John Strange who served us so well, for his expertise, commitment and support.”
